Who loves going wine tasting with friends?! Me *immediately raises hand*. In case there was some confusion, your answer should be “Yes” too! I love wine, wine tasting and spending quality time with my friends. So, I decided that it’d be a great idea to get a little fancy and go enjoy ourselves.
Planning a fun night of wine tasting with friends was absolutely necessary! Life gets busy, especially for me right now, so I knew that I needed to put something on the calendar before more time passed by. I wanted to do something a bit different from our typical meet at a restaurant or bar type hangout and just make it a special time for my girlfriends and I. I knew that going wine tasting at the gorgeous Silt Wine Company in Clarksburg, Ca was the perfect place for us!

I was first introduced to Silt Wine Company a few months back during an event that they were hosting for their newly opened wine tasting room. I was immediately drawn in by both the beautiful landscape and the passion that the two owners who hosted us, Phil and Shannon, had shared for wine and for people, as well. Silt sets themselves apart from other wine tasting experiences by doing free, reserved private tastings.
What does it mean to have a private tasting? It means that you get a very unique and personal experience where the tasting room is all yours and so is the attention of the sommelier. There’s no rush, just a chance to learn about wine, enjoy the company you’re with and become part of the Silt family.
As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by Shannon, the most gorgeous business owner, hostess, and mama. Basically wonder woman! She immediately made us feel welcome and became a newfound friend that you wish you’d known sooner.
The tasting room was all set up and ready for us to enjoy! Each of us had our own tasting menu and beautiful glass ready for wine! I was joking when I said that I wanted to take their marble bar top home with me because it’s was just so pretty. I loved how Shannon paid incredible attention to every detail in the space to make it feel beautiful and welcoming. All of her efforts definitely paid off.
We learned about the wine that they make at Silt and the process that goes into each one. Wine tasting is such a fun way to learn about what type of wine you like, especially in this personal setting. We, also, took some breaks from drinking wine to catch up, walk around and even enjoy the gorgeous sunset! All in all, it was a pretty perfect night with beautiful souls, gorgeous scenery and a wonderful hostess. This definitely had the makings of one incredible night of wine tasting with friends.
