Fashion Week is now in full swing all over the globe, with New York, London, and Milan just behind us and Paris happening as we speak! Each season, I can’t contain my excitement over all the style inspiration that passes before my eyes. This year, I’ve been feeling all of the outfit goodness from Fashion Week Spring/Summer ‘18 . On the runway, I get to see a glimpse of what the future seasons of fashion hold. Off the runway, one of my favorite parts of Fashion Week is on display everywhere you look (or Pinterest haha), Street Style!
Trends and styles vary from person to person; I love seeing how personal style transforms runway fashion into something unique and wearable that can inspire our own wardrobes. This year, the Fashion Week street style trends were nothing short of inspirational! I love how its gone from being something a bit wacky and extreme, to being something a lot more relatable. Street style trends are something you look at and can envision yourself wearing, or maybe already do– dresses and sneakers, anyone?
I find that looking at street style trends helps me to not only know what’s on point this season, but it also gives me visual inspiration for how to style different pieces. As a visual person, seeing how a certain trend looks on someone makes all the difference for me. For example, maybe you see a cute oversized plaid blazer on a hanger at the store, but pass over it because your not sure how to style it. Maybe you know how to style things, but you’re stuck in a rut of always pairing the same pieces together and just need fresh inspiration to find what else would work. Looking at street style trends is the perfect way to solved these problems!
Since the Fall season is finally upon us, or at least we’re pretending like it is here in Sacramento, I wanted to help inspire your wardrobe by sharing some street style trends that you can slay everyday this season. I know we’re all looking to give new purpose to our clothing and also add some new pieces into our wardrobe that will keep us stylin’ in the cooler months ahead.
The 90’s Power Suit
Seeing this makes me want to go thrifting! I love the oversized jacket with the shoulder pads (hehe) and the modern fit of the skirts. The pieces are perfect together or as separates!
This trend has a fresh update this season with lots of pants and jackets being added to the mix during fashion week!
White After Labor Day
White is no longer a fashion no-no for Fall! Take a look at how these ladies make it work with everything from jeans to dresses.
The Extreme Cat-Eye Sunnies
I love a great cat-eye look, its by far my favorite style for keeping those rays out of my eyes. This 50’s version has been a popular pick this summer and let us know it was still the “it” eyewear while taking a stroll all over fashion week!
She basically has on every trend of the season- take note!
Think Pink… And Then Think About It Some More
Head to toe pink is one of the most popular looks for Fall. It’s no longer a color that’s reserved just for spring and the girly-girl! Heck, I’m even tempted to wear it when I see some of these more masculine, edgy styles.
The Plaid Jacket
What screams Fall more than a plaid print does?!
White Ankle Boots Are All the Rage
I must confess, after seeing all the beautiful white boots pass before my eyes, I immediately went online to find myself a pair. I’m eagerly awaiting my package in the mail : ) Now scroll back up and look at all the white boots styled above too!
Dresses Over Denim, For The Girl Who Loves Layers
I’m ALL about this trend for Fall– it’s genius!! It’s the ultimate lazy girl hack for being able to wear a dress and not have to shave your legs, so I’ll be incorporating this trend ASAP once the weather cooperates and gets chilly.
Okay, now tell me which is your favorite! I’m really curious to hear which trends people are leaning towards.
