I thought it was high time that I shared some more of my favorite organic beauty products! A few of these have been go-to’s in my makeup bag or medicine cabinet, while others are new friends that I’ve decided to keep around for the long haul. I mentioned to you before that in my winter skincare routine, I’ve been slowly transitioning over to more organic beauty products and that’s still the case. Although, there are still certain products I use that aren’t organic *gasp*!

One of the major changes I’ve made in my lifestyle that has completely saved my skin is cutting out dairy and eggs. Awhile back, you may have remembered me mentioning on Instagram that I had allergy testing done. It was to find out if the severe excema on my neck, which also had continued to spread up onto my face, was related to dairy. I’d stopped eating dairy and eggs a few months prior and was trying to confirm with testing my suspicions about them and had seen it almost disappear by doing this. Apparently I’m not allergic, which I feel is BS, because I definitely have a reaction to it and my excema does return if I eat too much of it.

My skin has never been as happy as it is now since I don’t put those things into my body, so although I may not be allergic, I know I definitely have a sensitivity to it. Cutting dairy and eggs out has rid my face of acne, given me smooth, glowing skin, and taken away the heaviness that I’ve felt in my body. I joke now that I’m a vegan who eats meat! Since there is such a difference in my skin, I’ve found that I don’t really need to use quite as many skincare products because I’m not constantly trying to get rid of acne any more. My bank account is pretty happy about it too!

Thayers| Witch Hazel Aloe Vera Formula (Lavender)
This formula is alcohol free and incredibly gentle on your skin. As with the other toner I love, this one doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry or tight like an alcohol based toner does. I use to think that this was the way to get rid of excess oil and prevent acne, but all you’re doing is drying it out and causing your skin to overproduce oils.

Erborian| BB Creme
This has to be my FAVORITE new product! I was searching for a new BB creme with SPF to wear this summer and was introduced to this K Beauty product at Sephora. This BB creme is incredibly smooth, velvety and lightweight which has made it perfect to wear solo in summertime and also great as a base layer under other makeup. It gives you great coverage, evens out your skin, and holds up throughout the day with my oily skin which is awesome.

Benefit| They’re Real Mascara
This mascara has been a staple in my makeup bag for years! I love it because it doesn’t flake or smudge and adds incredible volume to my lashes all day. The formula that it’s made out of is similar to a water-proof mascara, so it can’t be removed with cleanser or I just use coconut oil.  I feel like I get so much mascara out of it because their wand is made of rubber bristles instead of the typical brush bristles. In my opinion, so much mascara goes to waste with those other ones.

Alba Botanica| Hawaiian Oil Free Moisturizer
As a person with naturally oily skin, it’s hard to find a moisturizer that doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy afterwards and often times having to forego any type of daily moisturizing the next day because it’d just be overkill on your skin. This guy works great and is also 100% vegetarian!

M.A.C| Ruby Woo Retro Matte Lipstick
The iconic Ruby Woo from M.A.C. is one of those perfect red’s you come across. I’m a fan of matte finishes, so it caught my eye immediately and has become the lippie that I reach for when I want to add a pop of color to an outfit.  It works on several different skin tones and has an incredible staying power. This red is deep enough to transition perfectly through every season!

Pacifica | Pineapple Cleanse
Another vegan product I’ve been using on the daily is this delicious smelling cleanser! Even if it was horrible, I’d still be tempted to use it because it smells THAT good. It’s pretty new to the rotation. I was looking for a new morning cleanser that I could use as a mild one in the morning and a stronger acne fighting one in the evening. This one caught my eye since it’s meant for oily skin types. It’s really gentle on the skin and doesn’t over dry it in my experience.
So these are some of my current organic beauty faves! Do you prefer organic beauty products? I’d love to hear what products you can’t live without!

Great Post, girl! I know for sure that I’m allergic to dairy (and pork) but I can’t resist a good mac n’ cheese!! It makes my skin very splotchy and dry so I should really consider cutting it out and using some of the great products you mentioned! I’ve especially got my eye on that Pineapple Cleanse…

I hear ya! I caved and had dairy a few times this week and my skin was NOT happy, my skin got incredibly itchy and I broke out. I love substituting coconut milk for a lot of my daily dairy products, but for ice cream I love cashew milk because its incredibly creamy! You’re going to want to eat the pineapple cleanser, just be warned! haha

I’ve heard so much about the Thayer’s products that I think I’m just going to have to go buy it and see what all the fuss is about!

Oh these sounds amazing and I’ve never heard of any of these products! I actually have never tried organic skin care products (at least not that I’m aware of). Do you notice a difference between using organic vs. non-organic products?
    X, Bettina
