I can’t believe that we’re already well into July! Where has this year gone? July got off to a fabulous start for me. I, basically, spent my entire Fourth of July weekend in the water tubing down the river for hours and enjoying pool parties x 10. It was perfect and now, I’m insanely tan. Yes, I know, I’m already tan! Although it’s crazy that the summer is flying by, I must admit that I’m really eager for September to get here. If any of you saw my posts on social media, you’ll know why. I’ll be heading off to Europe and the U.K. for a couple weeks!!!! Woohoo!! I am soooo excited. I’ll be hopping across the pond to London. From there, I’ll head to Italy where I’ll be hanging out in the cities of Cinque Terre and Florence then, off to Berlin, Germany. Finally, it’ll be back to London for me before flying home to California (major tears will be shed).
It’s crazy that it’s been two years since I moved back from London. It’s been so long since I’ve seen everyone and I just can’t wait to hug and spend time with them all. I look forward to shopping in my favorite stores, seeing sights that I’ve missed and grabbing coffee at my old “local” spots again– it’s going to be wonderful! Both Italy and Germany will be new adventures for me, so I’m really looking forward to exploring everything that these countries have to offer. I think I’m most excited to “meet” Cinque Terre. If you don’t know what it looks like, do yourself a big favor and look it up, it’s gorgeous! I’m already dreaming of wine and ocean views! If anyone has any tips on accommodations, food spots, sights, shopping, or anything else, I would love to hear them.
On to the outfit!
This kimono from Zara is so easy-breezy which makes it the perfect layer for me in the summer. Here in Sacramento, it cools off quite a bit in the morning and eve, so it’s nice to have a little something extra to pull on. Plus, a kimono is an incredibly easy way to look stylish without having to think through the details of putting an outfit together. Essentially, all I’m really wearing is a strappy tee and jeans, then I just threw on an eye catching piece to add a bit of flare. And of course, I can’t forget my Everlane street shoes! Everlane is probably one of my favorite US companies. They have the best basics! Everything from shirts and shoes to weekender bags and are all about transparency in every step of making the garment. I have worn my pieces from them over and over; I think I’m due for some new additions soon.
Just an FYI, There is currently a massive sale at Zara, which is something they do a few times a year, both online and in store. My kimono was $39 last I checked. They also have markdowns every Thursday in store!
Thanks for stopping by to read! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
